Barbara Peyton has more than 35 years experience in marketing, public relations,media relations, fund raising and development and more recently social media. She is the recipient of regional and national awards for publications, videos, PR campaigns and programs. She has written or edited magazines, newsletters, articles and books on topics in public education, sexual harassment, substance abuse, research, technology development and travel safety. In addition, she has raised millions of dollars for nonprofit orgranizations.
Formerly vice president of public affairs at Houston Advanced Research Center, she now consults with diverse clients in the fields of energy, the environment, sustainable development, education, the arts and health care.
Today she is most often engaged in helping clients develop affordable, yet effective news releases, websites, social media exchanges, proposals, slide shows and brochures.
